“Cosy hotel in a fantastic location in the heart of the old city — a shady alley just a five-minute walk from the cathedral, the Giralda, the Alcázar and the riverfront. Being able to pop back to the hotel for a rest during the hot day was really handy. There are plenty of cafés, restaurants and flamenco tablaos nearby. Seville is beautiful in the evening, and it’s easy to walk back at night. The hotel itself is very atmospheric, with marble floors, columns and a gorgeous Spanish patio where breakfast was served each morning. The coffee was excellent, and the breakfast was filling and varied — meats, cheeses, toasts, pastries and, in summer, fresh melon, watermelon and oranges. The waiters were welcoming and attentive, and the whole team was friendly and smiled a lot, solving any request immediately. I stayed three nights and really enjoyed it. I would come back.”

The location is the best part — next to Plaza del Salvador, surrounded by restaurants and the typical frying-pan square, with Calle Sierpes just three minutes away. The hotel is correct for its 3-star category: a good bathroom with plentiful hot water, a fridge, a comfortable bed and a cosy duvet. Breakfast was fine for a 3-star hotel. It’s a place with real personality, especially the arched courtyard that reminds me of the Mosque of Córdoba. Recommended if you want a historical hotel experience rather than a modern chain. I liked it.”

“What stood out the most was the kindness and professionalism of the staff — they really create a wonderful atmosphere. It’s a colonial-style hotel, clean and true to its original furniture and style. I didn’t have breakfast, but I tried the adjacent restaurant with the same name and found the service poor and prices high for the quality. The location is excellent, in the historic centre just a few blocks from the newer shopping area. I recommend this hotel and would stay again. I had read reviews before booking, one of which described the furniture as destroyed and run-down, but from my experience that’s not the case. If you prefer modern, maybe this isn’t for you, but if you like old-world charm, tasteful decor and good value for the price, service and location, this is the place.”
